CONCERNING THE CONGREGATION
Shane Davelaar is asked to write to Gary Brummel and Alden De Jong to Derick Grimm.
Early this past week Henry Hoekstra was taken to the hospital in Rock Valley with abdominal pain. Tests indicated he has cancer in multiple organs. He remains in the hospital there, and they have his pain under control with medication. May the Lord uphold our brother and his family, drawing them ever nigh unto Him. As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. (Psalm 17:15)
We rejoice with Nathan and Lora Maassen who were blessed on Wednesday with the birth of a baby boy, Titus Jay. Both Lora and Titus are doing well. We thank God for this wonderful gift of another covenant child.
We express our sympathy to Ann Miersma and her family in the death of her older sister, Dena Schnyders, who died last Sunday. May our heavenly Father apply His word to their hearts to comfort them in their sorrow.
Minard Van Den Top has returned to Pleasant Acres. May the Lord continue to uphold both him and his wife.
Sue Uittenbogaard was admitted to the hospital in Sioux Center on Thursday with severe back pain. She received an epidural flood to help control her pain and had an MRI which they have not yet discussed with their doctor. She returned home on Friday. Let us remember Sue, Chad, and their family in our prayers. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. (Psalm 91:4)
