Karyn Uittenbogaard had her appendix removed early yesterday morning. The surgery went well and she is expected to return home soon. Let us remember her and her family in our prayers. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10)
We express our sympathy to Ted Hoekstra, Henry Hoekstra, and Flossy Brunsting and their families, and also to Margaret Hoekstra and Lois Van Maanen and their families in the death of their sister, sister-in-law, and aunt, Bernice Van Maanen, who died on Wednesday night. May the Spirit of our risen Lord comfort them in their sorrow. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. (John 11:25-26a) There will be a memorial service tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary PRC. Interment will be prior to the service at the Hope Cemetery in Hull.
