Candidate Stephan Regnerus is scheduled to lead us in worship both services today. We welcome him to our pulpit and fellowship.
The Council at their next meeting plans to begin the process of nominating officebearers. According to Article 22 of the Church Order, the Council is called “to give the members an opportunity to direct attention to suitable persons.” Anyone desiring to recommend someone for one of the special offices may make this known to any member of the Council.

CONCERNING THE CONGREGATION
Nick Netten is asked to write to Gary Brummel and Joyce Kooiker to Derick Grimm.
Tony Kooiker’s out-patient hip surgery went well on Friday and he returned home the same day. May the Lord continue to uphold him and his family as he recovers.
Catherine Kooiker returned home on Monday evening. May the Lord continue to uphold her and her family.
We, the family of Bonnie Hoksbergen, would like to express our gratitude to the congregation for the support, many visits, gifts, and abundant food given not just during her passing but through the whole course of the disease progression. These years have not been easy, but we have been blessed through your kindnesses. We would also like to thank Rev. Laning, Rev. Meirsma, and the elders for bringing the Word. Psalm 133:1 states, Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. Don Hoksbergen, Teresa and Mike Potjer, Craig and Heather Hoksbergen, Kent and Sandee Hoksbergen, and Amanda and Andy Moss and families.

Book Club members, the new RFPA book Less Than the Least can be picked up on the tables in the fellowship hall. Less Than the Least is the memoirs of Rev. Cornelius Hanko’s long, fruitful life of nearly a century (1907-2005). He lived through the two World Wars, the Great Depression, the Korean and Vietnam Wars, the rise and fall of communism, the advent of the space age, and his life spanned the terms of eighteen US presidents from Theodore Roosevelt to George W. Bush. Son of Dutch immigrants to America, Rev. Hanko served six pastorates in five states, most notably in First Protestant Reformed Church of Grand Rapids (1948-1964) along with Rev. Herman Hoeksema and Rev. Hubert De Wolf. Rev. Hanko poignantly describes the grief caused in the PRC by De Wolf’s heresy and schism (1953). More than this, Less Than the Least follows Rev. Hanko from his childhood, school days, seminary training, and all the way to his retirement (1977) and beyond. If you are not a Book Club member and want this book, please contact Betty Kooiker at gbkooiker@nethtc.net or 712-324-2973.
