FROM THE CONSISTORY OR COUNCIL
We welcome all visitors worshiping with us today. May God’s name be exalted as we worship together. The order of our worship service is printed on the back of the bulletin.
This morning we remember our Lord’s resurrection, and we also celebrate the Lord’s Supper. Supervision is exercised over the sacrament, so that only those who are members of our congregation in good standing or those who have received special permission from the Consistory are allowed to partake of the sacrament. May we be worthy partakers of the supper of our Lord.
The Consistory has granted the request of Brittany Kroese to partake of the Lord’s Supper with us this morning. We welcome her to the table of our Lord.
The sermon this evening will be an applicatory sermon.
With joy the Consistory announces that Blake De Roon, Rachel Korver, Mark Maassen, Emily Uittenbogaard, and Abby Van Ginkel have appeared before the Consistory to make confession of their faith. Unless there are any lawful objections, Rachel’s public confession of faith will take place on May 21 during the evening service, and the others will have their public confessions of faith on April 30 during the evening service.
The Tuesday catechism classes have finished, and the Wednesday classes have their last class this week. Our children continue to do very well in catechism, for which we give thanks to God. May our heavenly Father continue to grant our children the grace to mature spiritually, that they may use their gifts to the glory of His name and for the edification of His people.

CONCERNING THE CONGREGATION
Peter S. Westra is asked to write to Gary Brummel and Jim Andringa to Derick Grimm.
We express our sympathy to Henni Gritters and her family in the death of Henni’s brother, Harold Brands, who died on Thursday. Harold was a member of Edgerton PRC. May the Lord comfort their hearts with thoughts about the hope we have in Christ: “And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.” (Revelation 21:22)
We rejoice with Jordan and Shantelle De Boer who were blessed on Friday with the birth of a daughter, Emma Grace. Mother and daughter are both doing well. We thank God for the wonderful gift of a covenant child.
