Due to the meeting of Classis West this past week, a pulpit swap has been arranged for this morning. Rev. Engelsma is scheduled to preach here while our pastor preaches at Doon PRC. We welcome Rev. Engelsma to our pulpit and fellowship.

The public confession of faith of Shayna Andringa is scheduled to take place this evening. We pray God may continue to bless her, granting her the strength to do the works that glorify His name.

The Consistory has received the membership papers of Martin De Jong from Georgetown PRC. We welcome this brother into our midst and pray God will richly bless him as we worship and commune together.

CONCERNING THE CONGREGATION
Minard Van Den Top was admitted to Avera McKennan hospital in Sioux Falls last Sunday due to an infection and has since returned to Pleasant Acres. Let us continue to remember him and his wife in our prayers.
Catherine Kooiker was taken to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls on Friday. She has a UTI which they are treating with IV antibiotics. Let us continue to remember Catherine, Kerwen and their family in this affliction.
There will be a church bridal shower on Saturday, March 11, at 1:30 p.m. for Amy Laning, Emily Uittenbogaard, and Rochelle Kooiker. There is an information sheet on the back tables.

Byron Center PRC called Rev. W. Langerak to be a home missionary.
Classis West met this past Wednesday at Hope PRC (Redlands). Classis gave advice to a consistory regarding two cases of discipline. The emeritation request of Rev. T. Miersma was approved and will be forwarded to Synod 2017. The emeritation request of Rev. R. Hanko was not approved at the present time. Classis advised him and Lynden’s consistory regarding what issues he should address in his future request for emeritation. The following were chosen as delegates to Synod 2017: ministers: Revs. Huizinga, Key, Kuiper, Kleyn, and Laning; elders: Henry Ferguson (First, Edmonton), Chester Hunter (Edgerton), Robert Brands (Loveland), Keith Bruinsma (Peace), and Alan Meurer (Bethel). Our church was chosen to host the next meeting of Classis which is scheduled for September 27.

The Hull PRCS Ladies’ Guild is having a Father-Son Social for boys in grades 5-8 on March 14 at Trinity Christian High School. Games and pizza start at 6:30.
HPRCS Collection Report: With roughly 4 months remaining in the school’s fiscal year, the current collection’s total is approximately $148,000 of the $193,000 budgeted YTD (short by $45,000). We thank you for your support and ask you continue to remember the needs of the school in the coming offerings.

The Northwest Iowa Protestant Reformed School will present its All-School Program on Friday, March 10, at 7:00 pm at the Doon Protestant Reformed Church. Alumni, past teachers and board members, and all supporters are invited to join with us in “Praising Our Faithful Covenant God in Our 50th Year.” Refreshments will be served at school after the program.

Colorado Retreat: Registration for the special 25th Colorado Young Adults Retreat starts tomorrow, Monday, March 6 for all Young Adults ages post-high to 35.
