FROM THE CONSISTORY OR COUNCIL
We welcome all visitors worshiping with us today. May God’s name be exalted as we worship together. The order of our worship service is printed on the back of the bulletin.
With joy the Consistory announces that Shayna Andringa and Michael Laning have appeared before the Consistory to make confession of their faith. Unless there are any lawful objections, Michael’s public confession of faith will take place during the afternoon service on January 22, and Shayna’s will take place in a couple of months when she plans to return during spring break (she intends to leave before January 22 to attend a college near Pittsburgh PRC).
The sermon this afternoon will be a preparatory sermon with a view to partaking of the Lord’s Supper next Sunday morning. Supervision is exercised over the sacrament, so that only those who are members of our congregation in good standing, or those who have received special permission from the Consistory will be allowed to partake of the sacrament. May we be worthy partakers of the supper of our Lord.

Let us remember them and their families in our prayers. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. Psalm 5:12
We wish to thank the congregation for your concern and encouragement shown to me before and after my surgery. Thank you also for the food, phone calls, cards and visits. Thanks to Rev. Laning and the elders for their visits. We truly felt the communion of the saints, and it is a blessing to be part of a loving and caring church family. “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:20 – Ken and Dori Hoksbergen
