FROM THE CONSISTORY OR COUNCIL
We welcome all visitors worshiping with us today. May God’s name be exalted as we
worship together. The order of our worship service is printed on the back of the bulletin.
This morning we celebrate the Lord’s Supper. Supervision is exercised over the sacrament,
so that only those who are members of our congregation in good standing, or those who have
received special permission from the Consistory are allowed to partake of the sacrament. May
we be made worthy partakers of the supper of our Lord.
The sermon this evening will be an applicatory sermon.
The public confessions of faith of Jeremy Baker, Joel Mouw, and Linette Mouw will take
place during the evening service today. We pray that God may bless them and give them the
grace to perform the good works that glorify His name.
The baptism of Eliana Grace, infant daughter of Dave and Amanda Rozeboom, is
scheduled to take place next Sunday during the morning service.
CONCERNING THE CONGREGATION
Herm Boonstra is asked to write to Gary Brummel and Brad Groeneweg to Derick Grimm.
Early Thursday morning our heavenly Father took Clara Hoekstra to be with Him in
heavenly glory. We express our sympathy to Martin Hoekstra and his family. May the Spirit of
our Lord provide comfort in this time of sorrow. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the
throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall
wipe away all tears from their eyes. (Rev. 7:17)
Update on Hillie: After many months of not being able to worship with the rest of the
saints, which was missed very much (we are thankful for the DVDs and other means we find
on the websites of all our churches, sermons which are available to listen to), we have decided
it’s time for Hospice due to more weakness and swelling. This way Hillie can stay at home and
a nurse can come to our home at our request when we feel she has need of one. She will
always check her vitals when she does come. We thank you for all the prayers, cards, and food
provided; it is very much appreciated. We go forth in God’s will for us & know He will go
with us. Psalm 38:15: For in thee O Lord, do I hope, Thou wilt hear oh Lord my God. Henry
and Hillie Hoekstra
Catherine Kooiker returned home from the hospital on Tuesday.
The congregation is cordially invited to witness the marriage ceremony uniting Matthew
Vanden Bosch and Larissa Burgers in our church on Friday, July 29, at 6:00 p.m.
