We welcome all visitors worshiping with us today. May God’s name be exalted as we

With joy the Consistory announces that Jeremy Baker, Joel Mouw, and Linette Mouw have
appeared before the Consistory to make confession of their faith. Unless there are any lawful
objections, their public confessions of faith are scheduled to take place on July 24 during the
Seminarian Joe Holstege will lead us in worship both services today. We welcome him to
our pulpit and fellowship. Next Sunday Rev. Brummel is scheduled to lead us in worship for

CONCERNING THE CONGREGATION
Travis Kooima is asked to write to Gary Brummel and Jason Westra to Derick Grimm.
Catherine Kooiker returned home from the hospital on Tuesday, and Minard Van Den Top
returned to Pleasant Acres on Wednesday. Let us remember them and their spouses and
families in our prayers.
The annual church picnic will be held on Wednesday, July 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Westside
Park in Hull. There is a sign up sheet located in the fellowship hall for those who will be
coming. A hot sandwich and drink will be provided. You are asked to bring a hot or cold dish
to share and your own table service. Pies are optional. Ice cream and dishes will be provided
for dessert. Singles, widows, and widowers do not have to bring side dishes. We will again be
setting up a bean bag toss tournament, so if you have a bean bag game, please bring it
along. Work group three is in charge of the church picnic. There will be a sign up sheet for the
work group for the work shifts.
Doon PRC has formed a trio of Revs. Brummel, Griess, and Huizinga from which they plan
to call a third missionary to the Philippines.
First PRC of Holland has formed a trio of Revs. Brummel, Griess, and R. Kleyn.
Sunday School: Today we study Lesson 42 and Psalter 27:1-3. Next Sunday is Lesson 43
and Psalter 27:1-4. Teachers will meet Tuesday, July 12, at 7:30 p.m. at church.
Trinity Christian High School will hold its annual society meeting on Monday, July 18, at
7:30 p.m. The nominees to stand for election to the board are Steve Maassen, Paul De Jong,
Glenn Kooima, and Perry Van Egdom
All young people riding the bus to convention please get your payment of $110 to Paul De
Roon by July 15. Make checks payable to the Hull PR Young People’s Society. There are still
a few seats available.
HPRCS Collection Report: The current offering total is $11,709.50 of $21,495 budgeted
Registration for Hull Protestant Reformed Christian School’s 2016-2017 school year will
be held on Monday, August 1, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at school.
WEALTH Bible Study will be studying the book of James this year. We encourage women
of all ages to use this as an opportunity to study a portion of God’s Word with fellow sisters in
Christ. More information and sign-up sheets are in the back of church.
All ladies of the area churches (high school age and above) are invited to an outing to be
held near the large cabins at Lake Pahoja on Thursday, July 21, beginning at 3:00 p.m. Supper
will be served at 6:00. Please bring a small salad or dessert to pass, a lawn chair, and a Psalter.

The next meeting for the Midwest Young Adult’s Retreat is Wednesday, July 13, at 7:00
p.m. at Calvary PRC.
The Lynden PRC is planning on hosting a Young Adult’s retreat from July 3-6, 2017, in

Urgent Need for Bus Drivers: Hull Protestant Reformed Christian School is still in need of
full time and substitute bus drivers. Without additional drivers, there will be multiple routes
without bus service next school year. For anyone with any level of interest, please contact

The Calvary Young Adults’ Committee has planned a backyard barbeque for the area
young adults at Toby and Jaci Boogerd’s house on Saturday, July 16. We will have clay
pigeon shooting starting at 4:30 p.m., bean bags, obstacle course, supper at 6:30 p.m., bonfire,
and root beer floats. We have a sign-up sheet in the back of church for items which need to be
donated. Please sign up for something you could bring along to the barbeque! If you are unable
to sign-up for anything, we please ask that you bring a $5 donation. Toby and Jaci’s Address is
3274 Grant Ave. Hull, IA. If you plan on coming, please sign your name at the bottom of the
donation sheet, so we have an idea of how much meat to prepare. Thank you and we cannot

anniversary of the Reformed Witness Hour (RWH) with a PRC Mission Awareness
event hosted by Georgetown PRC. “Your Labor is Not in Vain” is the keynote address by Rev.
R. Kleyn (9:20–9:50). Updates will follow on Home Missions by Rev. W. Bruinsma (10:00–
10:30), Myanmar by Rev. D. Overway (10:40–11:10), and India by Rev. C. Haak (11:20–
11:50). Come to be informed, inspired, and to celebrate God’s faithfulness with the RWH!
