FROM THE CONSISTORY OR COUNCIL

We welcome all visitors worshiping with us today. May God’s name be exalted as we worship together. The order of our worship service is printed on the back of the bulletin.

With joy the Consistory announces that Jeremy Baker, Joel Mouw, and Linette Mouw have appeared before the Consistory to make confession of their faith. Unless there are any lawful objections, their public confessions of faith are scheduled to take place on July 24 during the evening service.

We will be taking pictures of elders, deacons, custodians, bulletin clerk, sound and video system, organists, and pianists for the church directory after this evening’s service. If you are in one of these groups, please gather in the sanctuary after the congregation has exited. If any families or individuals have not submitted photos for the directory, please do so by emailing them to Missy Van Egdom at pgsigns2@hotmail.com. If you do not have photos to submit, please contact Brian Van Engen at v10@premieronline.net.

CONCERNING THE CONGREGATION

Colton Hoksbergen is asked to write to Gary Brummel and Nelson Oostra to Derick Grimm.

Joyce Kooiker was admitted to the Sioux Center Hospital on Wednesday due to increasing pain in her left lung. She remained there overnight for observation and returned home the next day. Let us remember Joyce and her family in our prayers during this trial. The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace. (Psalm 29:11)

The congregation is invited to attend the wedding ceremony uniting Shannon De Kam  and Mark Van Maanen on Friday, July 1, at 6:00 p.m.

We rejoice with Brady and Dayna Kooiker (nee De Roon) who were united in marriage this past Thursday. May the Lord richly bless their marriage that it may reflect that of Christ and His church.

The annual church picnic will be held on Wednesday, July 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Westside Park in Hull. There is a sign up sheet located in fellowship hall for those who will be coming. A hot sandwich and drink will be provided. You are asked to bring a hot or cold dish to share and your own table service. Pies are optional. Ice cream and dishes will be provided for dessert. Singles, widows and widowers do not have to bring side dishes. We will also be setting up a bean bag toss tournament again so if you have a bean bag game please bring it along. Work Group 3 is in charge of church picnic. There will be a sign up sheet for the work group for the work shifts.

Dear Congregation in Hull: As we spend our last Sunday with you, we wanted to express our great love for you all. Thank you for all that you have done for our family over the past 21 years. You have cried with us and prayed for us through the trials God was pleased to give us. You also celebrated with us in our times of joy. We treasure the many acts of kindness and the friendships which we have made. We go forward in faith believing that our faithful God will continue to care for you and bless you as we are separated from each other for a time.  Please stop in and visit us in Michigan!  With much love always, Dave and Susan King and family – II Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
