FROM THE CONSISTORY OR COUNCIL
We welcome all visitors worshiping with us today. May God’s name be exalted as we worship together. The order of our worship service is printed on the back of the bulletin.
Rev. Griess was on vacation last week, so arrangements have been made for him and our pastor to exchange pulpits for the morning service. We welcome Rev. Griess to our pulpit and fellowship this morning.

CONCERNING THE CONGREGATION
Dana Burgers is asked to write to Gary Brummel and Ken Hoksbergen to Derick Grimm.
Catherine Kooiker was readmitted to Sanford Hospital on Monday. On Wednesday she returned home. May our Father in heaven continue to uphold her, Kerwen, and their family.
We express our sympathy to Kimmy and Cheryl Kooiker and to Ron and Marlys Kuiper and their families in the death of Cheryl’s grandmother and Ron’s aunt, Phyllis Rau, who was taken to be with our Lord on Wednesday. May our heavenly Father comfort their hearts in this time of sorrow. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. (I Cor. 13:12)
Please save Monday, June 20, for a church bridal shower for Brittany Kooiker (Brandon Kroese), Larissa Burgers (Matt Vanden Bosch), Dana Burgers (Luke Bakker), Mariah Oostra (Cody Hoekstra), and Faith Poppema (Joe Bootsma). There is an invitation on the back tables.

The newest RFPA book has been placed in the fellowship hall. Christianizing the World: Reformed Calling or Ecclesiastical Suicide? is a critique of Abraham Kuyper’s cultural theory of a common grace of God and of the grandiose mission of this grace. It examines those who confess the theory and evidently intend to promote it, so that it accomplishes the end Kuyper claimed. The book exposes Kuyper’s biblical basis for his theory and its practical mission. The first and main part of the book is a much-expanded version of the public lecture given in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 2014 under the auspices of the evangelism society of Southwest Protestant Reformed Church. The second part of the book consists of questions raised by the audience at the conclusion of the lecture and the answers by the speaker at the lecture. If you would like to purchase the book or join the Book Club, see Book Club agent Betty Kooiker.
