Rochelle Kooiker’s knee surgery went well on Tuesday; she returned home the next day.
Denny Hoksbergen had another lung surgery on Monday to repair a duct that was leaking. The surgery was successful, and he is expected to come home sometime early this week.
Blake De Roon is scheduled to have back surgery at Dakota Dunes Surgical Center tomorrow at 2:00. He is expected to remain there for 1-2 nights. Blake has been experiencing a lot of back pain the last couple of years due to stress fractures in his back. He will be having a spinal fusion of his lower vertebrae and will be out of school for about a month to recover.

Classis East convened on January 13 at Trinity PRC. Classis selected the following as primi delegates to Synod 2016: Revs. Eriks, Haak, Koole, Spronk, and Van Overloop, and Elders Dave Kregel (Grandville), Sid Miedema (Byron Center), Howard Pastoor (Faith), Ted Pipe (Southeast), and John Van Baren (Hope). In open session Classis took two decisions regarding an appeal. Classis voted not to sustain the appeal of man who contended that his pastor preached a conditional covenant in one of his sermons. Secondly, Classis voted not to sustain this man’s appeal of his consistory’s charge that he is maintaining and teaching the false doctrine known as antinomianism
