CONCERNING THE CONGREGATION
Kerwen Kooiker is asked to write to Gary Brummel and Carl Maassen to Derick Grimm.
I had my monthly visit with my chemo nurse in Sioux Falls. We were thankful to hear all my blood counts look really good again. The tumor marker has gone slightly down and seems to be leveling off, so this was encouraging (it had come up before the scan last month). I have been feeling all around much better without the abraxone chemo. I am only on gemzar chemo now, and I am on the 8th month of chemo. We are thankful to God for His care during these months! Thanks to Rev. Laning for his visits, and others who also remembered us in any way. We covet your prayers as we go forth on this journey the Lord placed us on. Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” – Henry & Hillie Hoekstra
We express our sympathy to Henry and Hillie Hoekstra and their family in the death of their brother-in-law and uncle, Albert Bakker, who died last week Thursday. May our Father in heaven comfort their heart in their sorrow.
Catherine Kooiker was able to return home on Tuesday. She is still fighting two blood infections, so she will need to be on antibiotics for a couple of weeks. Let us continue to remember her, Kerwen, and their family in our prayers.
Jack Andringa’s surgery to repair his left shoulder went well on Monday, and he returned from the hospital on Friday. Let us continue to remember Jack, Hazel and their family also in our prayers.
