FROM THE CONSISTORY OR COUNCIL
We welcome all visitors worshiping with us today. May God’s name be exalted as we worship together. The order of our worship service is printed on the back of this bulletin.
We will have an elder leading our morning service, and we welcome Rev. Griess who will be preaching a preparatory service for us at 2:00 p.m. today. The Council made this change because of our Pastor’s travels from Loveland as church visitor and to Chicago to attend his father’s funeral.
The Council presents the following nominees for the special offices. For elder: Jeff Baker, Dennis Burgers, Veryl Heynen, John Huizenga, Brian Van Engen and Marlin Westra. Nominated for the office of Deacon are Dan Blankespoor, Paul De Roon, Carl Maassen and Tim Postma. Anyone who believes they have a lawful objection against the nomination of any of these men should contact the clerk of the Council. The date for the congregation meeting will be announced later.

CONCERNING THE CONGREGATION
Joel Van Ginkel is asked to write to Gary Brummel and Craig Hoksbergen to Derick Grimm.
We express our sympathy to Rev. and Mrs. Laning and their family in the death this past Monday of Mr. Gerrit Laning, our pastor’s father. May our Father in heaven comfort their hearts in their sorrow. “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7
I would like to express my gratitude to all who remembered me in many ways before and after my surgery. Thank you to Rev. Laning for his visit. We want to express our thanks to the elders, Rev. Laning, and Rev. Miersma for the visits to Norm and me at the nursing home. We feel the love and support of a caring church family. “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:20. – Norm and Wilma Vogel
