CONCERNING THE CONGREGATION
Vern Oostra is asked to write to Gary Brummel and Kelly Van Voorst to Derick Grimm.
Dean Bleyenberg’s right foot and right calf were cut badly by a lawn mower on Friday, and he was taken to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls where he had surgery. Dean’s two smallest toes had to be removed, and he has lost muscle in the area of the heel and ankle. It is not yet known whether they will be able to do some reconstructive surgery on that foot or whether the foot will have to be removed. They are scheduled to see a doctor about this on Monday. Let us remember Dean and his parents and family in our prayers as they go through this trial.
Wilma Vogel is scheduled to have bladder-repair surgery at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls tomorrow. If all goes well, she will return home the next day. Let us continue to remember her and Norm in our prayers.
May our Father in heaven uphold these saints and their families by His grace. The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion. (Psalm 20:1-2)
We would like to express our thanks to the congregation for your concern for us shown by your prayers, visits, cards and food given to us in the past weeks. A special thanks to Rev. Laning and the elders for your visits before and after our surgeries. We have experienced the loving care of our congregation and the healing mercies of our God. “Yet the Lord will command His loving-kindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me, and my prayers unto the God of my life.” Psalm 42:8. Tim and Clarine Kooima
