CONCERNING THE CONGREGATION
Brandon Kroese is asked to write to Gary Brummel and Wilma Vogel to Derick Grimm.
This past Thursday our Father in heaven took our beloved sister, Marie Brummel, to be with Him in heavenly glory. We express our sympathy to the Brummel family. May our Lord and Savior comfort their hearts in their sorrow. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. Revelation 7:17 Visitation will be today from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Oolman Funeral Home in Hull. The funeral will be here at 1:30 pm tomorrow.
Jeanine Huizenga’s surgery went well on Monday although it was more extensive than planned. The hernia was repaired, and her gall bladder was removed. She returned home Saturday.
Jack Andringa’s shoulder-replacement surgery went well on Wednesday. He is expected to be transferred soon to a swing bed room in the hospital in Rock Valley.
Catherine Kooiker was admitted to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls on Wednesday with a UTI. She returned home on Friday.
Braxton Kooiker’s outpatient surgery to remove a bone growth on his hip went well on Friday, and he returned home the same day.
Tim Kooima had an angiogram on Monday that showed considerable blockage in one artery which will require bypass surgery. A defective heart valve will also be replaced at the same time. The surgery is scheduled to take place on Tuesday morning at Avera’s North Central Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Let us remember these saints and their families in our prayers. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. Psalm 27:5
Many of our young people departed on Saturday for this year’s Young People’s Convention in Michigan. May our Father in heaven bless them while they are apart from us and cause this convention to be to His glory and for the edification of our young people.
With sincere gratitude we express our “Thanks” to all who helped with church cleaning again this year. We were overwhelmed with humility and appreciation. That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. Lord I have loved the habitation of thy house and the place where thine honor dwelleth. Psalm 26:7-8
