FROM THE CONSISTORY OR COUNCIL

We welcome all visitors worshiping with us today. May God’s name be exalted as we worship together. The order of our worship service is printed on the back of this bulletin.

The Council at their next meeting plan to begin the process of nominating elders and deacons. According to Article 22 of the Church Order, the Council is called “to give the members an opportunity to direct attention to suitable persons.” Anyone desiring to recommend someone for one of the special offices may make this known to any member of the Council.

At the request of our pulpit committee, Rev. Engelsma is scheduled to preach here this evening while our pastor preaches at Doon PRC. We welcome him to our pulpit and fellowship.

Next Sunday we are scheduled to have Sem. David Noorman lead us in worship for both services while our pastor is at Randolph PRC.

CONCERNING THE CONGREGATION

Bart Zandstra is asked to write to Gary Brummel and Vern Oostra to Derick Grimm.

We rejoice with David and Lai Yin Baldwin who were blessed Tuesday with the birth of a baby girl, Julia Chung Wai. Lai Yin and Julia are both doing well. We thank God for the wonderful gift of covenant children.

We rejoice also with Jason and Brandi Boone (nee Oostra) who were united in marriage this past Friday. May the Lord richly bless their marriage that it may reflect that of Christ and His church.

Catherine Kooiker returned home from the hospital on Wednesday.

Norm Vogel returned to Pleasant Acres on Wednesday.

Let us continue to remember our widows, widowers, elderly, and all those who frequently, if not always, are unable to gather with us for worship on the Lord’s Day (Jack Andringa, Reka Andringa, Zach Andringa, Gary Brummel, Marie Brummel, Derick Grimm, Margaret Hoekstra, Bonnie Hoksbergen, Catherine Kooiker, Minard & Cora Van Den Top, and Norm Vogel). Let us continue to remember them in our prayers, as well as with cards and visits.
