CONCERNING THE CONGREGATION
Brian Van Engen is asked to write to Gary Brummel and Kevin Warner to Derick Grimm.
Jennie Van Maanen received a good report this past Monday. The doctors say they think radiation alone is needed. If Jennie wants to receive 4 rounds of chemo as an extra precaution, the doctors said they would be willing to do that. But the doctors themselves do not deem it to be necessary. We are thankful to God for this news and pray He will continue to uphold Jennie, Evert, and their family.
CHURCH NEWS
Peace PRC extended a call to Rev. Griess.
Classis West met at Doon PRC this past Wednesday. Peace PRC was given some classical appointments, and subsidy requests from six churches were approved. An index of the decisions of Classis West, in electronic and/or print form, will be made available later this year to every minister and every consistory in the PRC. Classis decided that the members of the congregations may have access to the index, not by requesting a copy from the stated clerk, but by asking their consistories to have access to their copy. Classis forwarded to Synod 2015 with its approval, a request from Peace PRC that Synod permit Peace to remain in Classis West, should it buy land and build in Indiana. Classis appointed as synodical primi delegates the ministers Revs. Brummel, Key, Kleyn, Kuiper, and Laning; and the elders Keith Bruinsma (Peace), Chester Hunter (Edgerton), Jack Lenting (Crete), Alan Meurer (Bethel), and Jack Regnerus (Randolph). Classis appointed as church visitors Revs. Key, Kleyn, Kuiper, and Laning.
